Overview
Using the song "Rolling Girl" (composed by Wowaka and covered by English singer Lollia), I showcase the tiring existence of living with a mental illness as conveyed through non-stop motion and camera turbulence. The old-fashioned effects and black-and-white palette indicate detachment and despondency, while the bold and even typography allows for the message to persist through the fog.
My Contributions
I took on the roles of animator, storyboard artist, editor, compositor, and project manager throughout the creation of this video (1920 x 1080 @ 29.97 fps). The roles of transitions, text and object animation, typography design, planning, storyboarding, and compositing were examined and integrated into the final product. The entire composition was to be made entirely in After Effects, with no outside footage except the audio file.
